Gah! This author. These narrators. This book. It's all the things! Ryder is mine, so don't get any ideas.

Madison Moore is a single mother of two young boys. She’s not interested in dating or partaking in meaningless sex. Her only goal in life is to be a good mother and make life as normal as possible for her oldest son who is diagnosed with a learning disability. When Ryder Storm literally comes crashing into her home and turns her life upside down she finds herself falling hard. Madison’s denial about her feelings and dismissal of his advancements only fuels Ryder’s determination to make her his. Madison may think she poses a challenge for Ryder, but victory will be his, and when all her defenses are down, he’ll be more than willing to deliver whatever she needs.

Madison Moore is a single mother just trying to get through the day and care for her two boys when one day a package is delivered by Ryder Storm and her life is turned upside down. Ryder is everything she could want, if only she didn’t have the responsibilities of two children, Ryder doesn’t care that Madison has children, he enjoys their company and will do anything for a chance to make Madison happy. Can they find their Happily Ever After, or are they doomed to fail?

Nicole Garcia has done it again. I love her words, the way she blends serious subjects with humour and light-heartedness really works well. I couldn’t help but love it. Her writing always captures my attention and my heart. I read a few chapters of this as it was being written and heard some sample clips too, and I gotta say I thought I knew what I was letting myself in for, but I didn’t. This book was sweet and charming, and emotional. But it was also hilarious. And steamy, oh yes, the steam was there, not that I ever doubted it. This is the perfect single mother story, I haven’t read many, all the single parent stories I seem to come across are single fathers, so this was a nice change. It doesn’t sugar coat Madison’s situation, she’s a struggling single working mum and that shows throughout the story, which only made it more real.

The cover? Holy hotness. I love this cover so much. Especially the gift tag with the narrators' names on the audio edition, that was such a cute touch.

So many wonderful characters in this book. I loved them all… except for Mitch, he’s an arsehole that I wanted to punch in the balls. Ryder is all the things. I want to know why my delivery guy is nothing like him. He’s funny, charming, sexy and caring. The way he is with Mads children is just *swoon* He’s the type of guy every single mother hopes they will meet. Madison is such a sweet woman, she’s got so much going on, it’s a wonder she’s even functioning. But she is, and she’s caring for her boys and doing all she can, it’s beautiful. I was so happy to see her open herself up to some happiness with Ryder. The children are the cutest things, especially Aiden, he plays such a pivotal role in their story and I loved how that was conveyed. Oh, oh, and Tyler, he needs a HEA too, he is the sweetest and funniest person ever. I think we all need a Tyler in our lives.

I loved how their relationship built and progressed. It was beautiful. Ryder at first was just into the pretty woman he’d met, nothing wrong with that, but once he spent a little time with Madison it was obvious he was falling for her and her kids. Madison tried to fight it but thankfully Ryder was persistent, and he worked his way into her heart. The children played such a huge part of their relationship and the way that was handled was perfection, the worries Madison had made perfect sense. It didn’t stop me from cursing her though. The little angst was suited to the story and thankfully didn’t last too long.

I do love a duet narration and Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross always deliver. Always! Their voices blend so well together, I was definitely looking forward to hearing how they were going to perform these characters and they were perfect as Madison and Ryder. Wen also did a brilliant job voicing seven-year-old Aiden and I must say, it was those scenes, between Ryder and Aiden that I had the most reactions too. It was just beautiful. Emotional, but beautiful. Kai, I adored how she chose to voice Madison, it was a little deeper than I’m used to hearing from her and it worked really well for the character and showed another side to her talent. As for the steamy moments, sheesh, can these two perform a sex scene with conviction. I listened to this audio in a day, I just couldn't put it down. The production was fine with no issues.
