Two for one, since these are short stories I decided to combine the reviews into one post. This is a great collection of short stories and having spoken to Nicole Garcia I can safely say that it's only going to get better.

Born into light, made to live in darkness, Caressa strives to keep her coven safe from the Hunters. A group of killers trained to eradicate the vampire population. Now, it's up to Caressa to ensure the survival of not only herself, but her sisters as well.
Together they must make difficult decisions to recruit more soldiers to help aid in the fight against the Hunters. Everything was going according to plan. That was until Noah walked into Club Blood.
His gorgeous body and infectious smile make him hard to resist. But, that's exactly what Caressa has to do, resist him. Avoid him at all costs because the moment she lets her guard down, he will surely claim her heart. A heart that is cold, dark, and incapable of giving someone like him the love he deserves.
Can Caressa deny herself the love she so desperately craves and turn away the only person capable of giving her everything she has ever wanted? Or will she give in to her heart's true desire and put her coven in even more danger than they already were?

Noah is a delivery guy that meets Caressa, the owner of an underground club and falls for her instantly, what he doesn't know is that she's a vampire. Caressa needs to feed and knows she needs to turn a male to help her fight the hunters, but she's so drawn to Noah that she can't possibly entertain the idea of changing him. But what will happen when he finds out?
This is a short, cute vampire story. When I say cute, I don’t mean that in a bad way. I love the way Nicole Garcia sets the scene and draws the listener into the story. The story is told from Caressa's POV. It's what I like to call a true vampire story, the vampire is strong and doesn't go out in the sun for fear of death. I loved the feelings expressed in this book and the tension. The characters are appealing and entertaining. Noah was a sweetheart that you couldn't help but swoon over. I really liked Caressa, the way she didn't want to hurt Noah but couldn't stay away. It’s a short story so there isn’t a whole lot of sex but what there is works really well with the storyline and is fun and sexy.
This duet narration is done to perfection by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross. Their performances are spot on and widely entertaining, the way they both expressed the tension within the story really stood out. The production is smooth with no issues.

Gia was never supposed to be the one who fell in love, but here she was, falling for a human she had no business consorting with. Now, she is faced with a dilemma. Does she follow her heart’s true desire? Or will she make the ultimate sacrifice and let Rhett go in order to save his life? She thinks she’s chosen the right path, but when trouble comes crashing through the coven’s door she must decide whether or not her good intentions are worth the inevitable extinction of her kind.

Rhett has been hanging around the club ever since his friend Noah was turned into a vampire, every night he ends up in Gia's bed before she wipes his mind. Only, she doesn't do a good enough job and while she is struggling to come to terms with being in love with someone she can never have, he's in love with her knowing exactly who she is. But when events are set in motion can they overcome their differences.
Ok, I loved this book, the first book I liked but I truly loved this instalment. I messaged Nicole Garcia once I was finished because I had so many questions - I need more! Nicole has a wonderful talent for writing books that immerse the listener into the story and keep them riveted. This book is told from Gia's POV and focuses more on the feelings Gia has and she felt very human in her thought process which made me love her more. Rhett was such a sweetheart and I loved his take charge attitude. The sexy times work well within the storyline and are fun and sexy. This book has some twists that add to the appeal of the book and leave you wanting more.
This duet narration is done superbly. I just love the inflections both Kai and Wen use to differentiate between emotions and characters. The emotions conveyed in this story and the way they were performed was just wonderful. The production is well done with no issues.
