Tomorrow we have the review of Your Tempting Love performed by the great Bailey Carr and John Lane.

Max Bennett is a successful man. His analytical mind has taken his family’s company to the next level. Outside the office, Max transforms from the serious business man into someone who is carefree and fun. He’s happy with his life and doesn’t intend to change it, even though his mother keeps asking for more grandchildren. Max loves being an uncle, and plans to spoil his nieces rotten. But when a chance encounter reunites him with Emilia, his childhood best friend, he starts questioning everything. The girl he once knew has grown into a sensual woman with a smile he can’t get out of his mind. Taking care of her sick grandmother, Emilia Campbell has a lot on her plate. Still, she faces everything with a positive attitude. When the childhood friend she hero-worshipped steps into her physical therapy clinic, she is over the moon. Max is every bit the troublemaker she remembers, only now he has a body to drool over and a smile to melt her panties. Not that she intends to do the former, or let the latter happen. They are both determined not to cross the boundaries of friendship…at first. But as they spend more time together, they form an undeniable bond and their flirty banter spirals out of control. Max knows Emilia is off-limits, but that only makes her more tempting. Besides, Max was never one to back away from a challenge. When their chemistry becomes too much to resist and they inevitably give in to temptation, will they risk losing their friendship or will Max and Emilia find true love?

When Max Bennett arrives for his physical therapy session he never expects his PT to be his childhood best friend, Emilia Campbell. They are delighted to be reunited, but things are different now, they’ve both grown up and the sparks are ignited. Emilia has a lot going on, not only is she a sought-after PT, but she is caring for her ill grandmother, she has no time for a relationship and neither of them want to risk their friendship. However, the flirting banter quickly becomes too much for them both and they take a chance. Was the chance worth taking? Can their friends to lovers relationship stand the test of time?

Another fantastic addition to this addictive series. Layla Hagen never fails to impress me with her compassionate style of writing. This book had some real emotional moments, but before you think it’s all sadness, let you assure you it has the usual humour we’ve come to expect from Layla. You’re grabbed from the start and forced into this wonderful family and kept hostage until the last page… thank heavens., because I never wanted to leave.

I haven’t read many friends to lovers stories but after this book, I think I might have to start. It was such a sweet story. Max and Emilia were childhood friends that re-connect as adults and they are explosive together. I really liked how the additional storyline of Emilia's grandmother was written, Alzheimer's is shown in a sensitive, yet honest light and shows the effects it has on both the person and the family.

Max, Max, Max… sigh, oh, how I love you. Max is a complete sweetheart, he is charming and has a cheekiness about him. The way he tries to support and help Emilia is endearing. I loved the interactions with his twin, Christopher, it made for some laugh out loud moments.

Emilia is one strong woman. She has so much going on but she always pushes through, putting her own happiness on the back-burner. I really admired her. She deserves to have some happiness in her life, thank heavens for Max because there is no way he would rest until his girl is happy. My heart broke for her when she visits with her father. But in typical Emilia style, she took it on the chin and moved on.

The chemistry between Max and Emilia was off the charts. I loved their flirty banter. Their relationship was sweet and had some difficulties, nothing they couldn’t overcome. Of course, in true Layla fashion, the sex scenes were perfectly placed and hot as anything.

Sebastian York is just delicious as Max, he performs him perfectly. Definitely the right casting choice, he embodies Max for me. His transition from male to female characters is smooth and the change of tone for the different emotions he conveys is just beautifully done. And let me just add, Sebastian narrating as a 9-year-old is just too darn cute for words.

This is the first audiobook I've listened to from Lidia Dornet and I really enjoyed it, at times I did have to pay closer attention to the change of male to female characters as it wasn't always obvious but that just made me focus more, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I thought she was brilliant as Emilia and had a large range of emotions to cover which she did wonderfully. I’m looking forward to listening to more from Lidia.
