You all know how crazy I am, this is not news. When the option to review Your Fierce Love became available I thought this was a great time to dive into the series, for those that don’t know, this is book 7 – and I didn’t want to read them out of order, that’s just not right, even if they are standalone books. I already had book 1 on my kindle and audible app, so I was good to go, thank heavens for the audiobooks, I’d never have managed it without them. Reviews of books 1-6 are coming, I promise, I had hoped to get them written before this one but I just ran out of time. Now that’s out of the way, let me talk to you about Your Fierce Love.

Clara is an adopted Bennett; a close family friend and they are off limits, Blake knows this but he can’t stop the attraction he feels. Clara feels it too but thinks it is one sided, she’s not had the easiest life, she finally has a family and doesn’t want to jeopardise that. But when things get tough and she needs a place to stay, Blake comes to the rescue, as a friend. Will they survive being just friends and neighbours, or will the attraction become too much for them?

Layla Hagen has quickly become one of my automatic one-click authors. She writes with such emotion and passion, I can’t help but get lost in the story. The Bennett Family series has captured my heart; the characters are so well written that even the smallest of parts can endear themselves to you. That is what happened with Blake Bennett, I kept seeing little snippets of him in the other books and I wanted more. I wanted to see his grovelling techniques in action, I wanted to know what type of caveman he would be, and yeah, ok, I wanted to know about his bedroom antics too. Your Fierce Love did not disappoint. Blake and Clara’s story is sweet and sexy and everything I could have hoped for and more. I don’t think I’ve highlighted a book as much I as I highlighted all the sweet Blake moments, I was swooning left, right and centre. Clara was the perfect match for Blake, she was strong and independent and kept him on his toes while trying not to fall head over heels for him. I loved that she was a part of the family and protected them, the situation with her boss had me biting my nails hoping certain things didn’t play out…. they didn’t, thank heavens. I loved the twist towards the end and thought it was the perfect HEA for them.

Let me just take a second to comment on the steam level of this book. Oh, my word! You will not be disappointed, from the first kiss onwards, you will be hot under the collar. Blake is a dirty, dirty man.

Now I’ve binged the series I’m at a loss, what am I going to do with myself? Daniel Bennett’s story isn’t available yet! You can bet I’ll be keeping a beady eye out for that release, I cannot wait. If you haven’t met any of the Bennett’s yet, go grab one, any one, they are truly standalone books (you know I don’t say that lightly), you won’t be sorry.

Before I leave you, I’ll let you in on a little secret, just between us…I think Blake might be my favourite, shhh don’t tell the others. This might be a little spoiler-ish so look away now, the moment I fell in love with Blake? When he buys the girl he likes a bookcase. Come on! Layla was just playing with my book loving heart from that moment on.
