Flightpath is Amber Addison's first published book; I'm not kidding, I didn't believe it either, it sure doesn't read like one. I've read a lot of 'first books' and only a handful have been worthy of a 3 or 4 star rating. Flightpath is a solid 5. It's a well written, powerful, thought-provoking, emotional rollercoaster that I think everybody is going to love. It reads like either; a lot of research went into this book, or Amber has lived it/ known someone that has. The story focuses on the ups and downs a relationship has when one partner is in the military. It's a beautiful romance with a twist I didn't see coming. (I nearly always spot them...what is this?) I absolutely adored Seth and just saying; Seth has book boyfriend status - so you can look, but don't be touching him. Maddie is a sweetheart that experiences so much throughout the book, I empathised with her. I was rooting for them from the beginning. If you have read Cristin Harber's Titan Group books, you'll love one of the supporting characters. (See how good I am about not spoiling it for you?) A little advice - make sure you have those kleenex handy. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer..because I wasn't ready to leave this couple.

I was asked by a dear friend how this book made me feel...in one word (I cursed her, don't worry), the answer honestly took me a few days because this book had so many different elements to think about and this book made me feel a lot but ultimately it left me feeling hopeful. So, that's my one word - HOPEFUL.

This is one of my favourite books so far in 2017 (I know we're only in January, but I've read a good few books already). I honestly cannot wait to read more from Amber, I believe she has a long and successful writing career ahead of her and I am incredibly excited to read what she writes next.
